This whole thing has been frustrating and I hope this bit of information proves helpful even though you have a different LifeCam model. I will mention that the LifeCam software told me there were updates to the drivers so I took the chance and updated and installed them. I plugged it in as the installation directed me to do and the plug and play installed like you would expect it to. I made sure before beginning the installation that my LifeCam was not connected. For lack of a better idea I ran it and it successfully installed. On a whim I noticed another executable in the zip called setupstb.exe. After unzipping it and attempting to run the setup.exe I ran into my same problem mentioned above.
